Now is the time to act! The next R-22 phase-down (as mandated by the Clean Air Act and the U.S. EPA) is scheduled for January 1, 2010. In response, RemTec International has developed our Refrigerant Buy Back and Recovery Program, that is specifically designed around the requirements of the Wholesale Refrigerant Industry. RemTec's program is a convenient and environmentally responsible way for our customer to dispose of their used R-22 and for your firm to secure future supplies of R-22 as well as other increasingly regulated refrigerants.
RemTec incorporates a proprietary fractional distillation into its reclamation process, which is more efficient when compared to other existing technologies. Our system increases the yield of reclaimed refrigerants that pass AHRI-700 certification requirements, which are then made available exclusively to companies participating in our Wholesale Program. Program participants are also assured that refrigerants that cannot be reclaimed, are disposed of using an advanced and environmentally friendly technology. RemTec operates the only on-site Plasma Arc Halocarbon Destruction facility in North America, that destroys ODS mixed refrigerants to a destruction efficiency rated at 99.9999%. The emissions are considered de minimis by the U.S. EPA and the only discharge is a harmless saltwater solution.
RemTec International supports the Wholesale Refrigerant Industry with comprehensive services. It is the only U.S. EPA Certified Refrigerant Reclaimer that has an on-site AHRI certified laboratory, refrigerant destruction and a U.S. Department of Transportation approved tank recertification facility.
