RemTec has also established a comprehensive Halocarbon Bank Management Program that buys "used" halons and refrigerants. RemTec accepts "used" Halocarbons such as
R-12 (Freon**), R13B1, R-113, R-114, HFC-227ea (FM-200*, FE-227**, RT-227***), HFC-125 (FE-25**), HFC-23 (FE-13**), Halon 1211, Halon 1301 and Halon 2402. RemTec also reclaims, refurbishes and recharges fire protection system bottles.
Destruction
In some cases the recycling of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) is not an option, either because the material can no longer legally be used, or is so badly deteriorated that is is
not feaszible to reclaim the agent back to industry standards. RemTec International offers safe and reliable destruction options for all ODS material, including Halons, CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs. Our complete services include: identification of unknown ozone depleting substances, on-site removal, and packaging/handling and shipping in accordance with all local, national and international regulations.
Hydrostatic Testing & Cylinder Re-Certification
RemTec International maintains a complete U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) approved Hydrostatic Testing and Cylinder Re-Certification facility for low and high-pressure gas cylinders. This facility is an industry leader providing total cylinder refurbishment
and recertification.
