The M-1 is manufactured in strict accordance with U.S. Navy/Marine Corps Specifications. It is designed to inexpensively and safely recycle, recover and reclaim Halon 1211 between pressure vessels for maintenance, storage, cleaning and other activities. The M-1 has passed all U.S. Government First Article Tests and received a 99% efficiency rating. It is ruggedly built and designed to operate under actual field conditions and aboard ships.

This unit includes a Pump Deck Assembly and a Recovery Tank Assembly mounted on a portable carriage for easy mobility. The Hose kit Assembly is stored in a separate high impact plastic box.

The Pump Deck Assembly can be easily removed from the carriage for table top operation. The control panel is part of the pump deck assembly with all valves, gauges, regulators and instructions conveniently located for easy operation. The pump filter and the quick connect couplings used during operations complete the assembly.

The Recovery Tank Assembly includes a vapor outlet valve and quick connector, a liquid outlet valve and quick connector, a pressure relief valve, pressurizing quick connectors with valve and gauge, liquid level gauge and drain plug. The recovery tank is securely fastened to the portable carriage with four stainless steel bolts.

The Hose Kit Assembly is an accessory module included with each unit. It contains all the adaptors and hoses necessary for completing the recharging, recovery or recirculation functions for portable extinguishers, wheeled units and crash trucks. Custom adaptors for foreign units are available. A leak detector and technical manual are included with the Hose Kit Assembly.

Operating Modes

Recovery Mode: The system will recover Halon 1211 and nitrogen gas from existing charged fire equipment. The clean and dry Halon 1211 is then ready for storage or recharging.

Recharge Mode: The system will fill and pressurize empty fire equipment with clean, dry Halon 1211.

Recirculation Mode: The system will process contaminated Halon 1211 from a storage tank, filter out contaminates and remove moisture. The Halon 1211 can then be returned to a clean inspected storage tank or extinguisher.
