Additional Defender Specifications
The C700 will recover, recycle and recharge Halon 1211, Halon 1301 and HFC-227ea. It is patterned after our M-1 military version but specifically designed for the Halon 1301 user to inexpensively and safely recycle, recover, and reclaim. The C700 system uses the same major components as our military model and is compact, self-contained unit. It quickly recovers Halon 1211 or Halon 1301 and nitrogen gas from existing portable and wheeled fire equipment. The clean, dry Halon is then ready for storage or recharging.
The C700 is a self-contained unit exceeding 99% efficiency, with a dual filters system to remove typical particulate matter, residue and moisture while in operation. If the gas has a purity of 99.0 for 1211 and 99.6 for 1301 and 99.0 for HFC-227ea, Remtec's C700 and Mars 2000 can recover gas to ISO 7201 part, ASTM D5632-94a or NFPA 2001 standards. The degree of contamination of the particulate matter, residue, and or moisture will define the time of reclaiming and filtering of the gas.
Because the Defender 2000 models are so dependable, rugged and easily maintained, they are the overwhelming choice by the Department of Defense for use around the world in combat surface vessels and tactical air ground stations. The United Nations has also chosen Defender 2000 models for use in its Halon reduction program for developing nations.
The C700 has a history of recovery of the full range of portable Halon fire extinguishers; large size wheeled units and fixed flooding systems.
The C700 will recover up to 1 gallon of Halon 1211/1301/HFC-227ea per minute (7 kg/min). The C700 is utilized to recharge an extinguisher unit from the bulk storage tank. It is used to recover extinguishers, fixed system or other pressure vessels into a bulk storage tank. It can achieve a 20 in Hg. A re-circulation mode can be performed by the C700.
This machine will operate in the temperature range of +5 degrees C to +35 degrees C. Compressed air is required with a ½” input line with an Air Flow of 16CFM at 150 PSIG maximum. The recommended air operating pressure is 65-85 psig.
