4.4 Obsolete Fire Extinguishers
Any stored-pressure extinguishers manufactured prior to 1955 are considered obsolete, and should be removed from service.
Table 8.3.1 Hydrostatic Test Interval for Extinguishers Halogenated agent extinguishers are to be hydrostatically tested every 12 years.
7.3.1.2.1 Six-Year Maintenance
Every 6 years, stored-pressure extinguishers that require a 12-year hydrostatic test, are to be emptied, and maintained according to the manufacturer's service manual.
Table 7.3.1.1.2 Maintenance Involving Internal Examination Halogenated agent extinguishers are to be internally examinated every 6 years.
