International Recycling Projects

RemTec International provides turnkey recycling facilities throughout the world. We work in conjunction with the Department of Defense, United Nations Development Programme, The World Bank, the Australian Commonwealth and other implementing agencies. RemTec provides our domestic and international clients with systems, services, training and technical assistance where and when it is needed!

Australia
..In 1996 RemTec International, Pty Ltd. was incorporated and awarded a contract from the government of Australia to manage their Halon and Refrigerant decanting operations.

Kazakhstan
.The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), awarded a contract in November of 2001 in which RemTec International USA was responsible for the establishment of a centralized Halon recovery, recycling and storage facility in Kazakhstan. This project required equipment for the recovery and filtration of Halon 1211/1301 and Halon 2402.

Estonia
.The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), awarded in May 2001 to DASCEM Holdings Pty., Ltd. and RemTec International Pty., Ltd. a contract to establish a regional Halon recycling facility serving the countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

UK
.Remtec International supplies Recovery and Reclaim Equipment to a new decanting and destruction facility at Peterlee near Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK

The DASCEM Europe plant will provide Halon owners with an environmentally safe and certificated means of disposing of the gas in order to comply with EU Regulation 2037,2000. Regulation bans the recharge of Halon systems from 31st December 2002 and also requires decommissioning of non-critical Halon systems by the end of 2003.

China
.Because RemTec is a world leader in halocarbon reclamation, it was chosen to install the  model Halon Bank for the Peoples Republic of China in Guongdong Province. The equipment was shipped to China for the Halon Bank that is similar to the RemTec Australia Halon Bank Installation. It is hoped that this model bank will be replicated in China to assist in China's phase out of CFC's and Halons in accordance with the Montreal Protocol. RemTec International is working in conjunction with the World Bank, which is the implementing agency for the Montreal Protocol in China.

Netherlands

Ukraine
.The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine received a Grant from the Global Environmental Facility, executed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development towards the cost of the Ukrainian Ozone Depleting substances Phase-Out Project. The Ministry of Ecology and natural Resources of Ukraine entered into a sub-grant agreement with “Lugansk Spetzavtomatika”, Ltd.

RemTec International personnel traveled to Kiev for training and installation.

Personnel from the Lugansk Spetzavtomatika, Ltd were also trained at RemTec's manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Ohio.
